Bought ME SOME of...

THESE...

Chinese Cloth Diapers.

They ended up being $4.74 each for 20 one size fits all diapers with inserts.
Total $94.99 on EBAY.

I figure if I hate them, I'm only out $95 and if I love them-I'm saving a BOATLOAD on disposables not to mention SAVING THE PLANET!

What do YOU THINK??

  1. I think that it is a great deal and I hope that you love them. I like the idea of them, but I just don't have the patience for them. Good luck!

  2. Haven't tried the Chinese cloth diapers, but we do use the gDiaper off and on. With the gDiaper you can get flushable or cloth inserts, which is pretty handy. I've found that the regular disposables are still just too irresistible for when your out and about! The gDiapers have been great, except for the snaps that hold the waterproof liner tend to dig into her skin. It doesn't seem to bother her, but it looks like it hurts. They also don't quite have the absorbency needed for overnight and naps, so we still use disposable for those times too. I also try to time it so that all the #2's are in disposables. :) Overall we probably use the gDiaper 30% of the time and I guess at least that's 30% less going into the landfill!

I hope you love them! They are cute too!

  3. Love it! They are cute! And I'm proud of you! My DH is SOOOO opposed to cloth for our family, even though I'm the one changing all of them. I'm working on him though!

  4. I love the idea. When and if the Lord brings our embryo babies, I will also use cloth diapers. I've been babysitting a baby with them and I love them. Those are very cute too.

  5. So cute! My friend does cloth diapering, but buying cute diapers turned into an obsession for her & I'm sure she's spent at least as much as she would have on normal diapers at this point :) ha ha!

  8. Wow, that's a great price. I've been looking at the Bum Genius brand, which are much more costly but the same idea. Hmmmm. It would be interesting to do a comparison. But they are really pretty!

  11. I switched to cloth when Amelia was 3 months old though each of my dipes was around $12. I "think" I saved $, though it's somewhat debatable. However, I felt really good about it and felt as though I was I was doing something good for our planet! Way to go! If you choose to make it an obsession, check out diaperswappers.com. It's where I got all my dipes!
